I need my own designer drug.

Today was a really rough day. Actually, it was a rough weekend altogether, but in order to preserve my sanity, I’m trying to just remember one day at a time.

I’m gonna try not to bitch, because I can’t stand people who make a habit of it, and I don’t want to be That Guy. I’ll just say that I’m tired. Mentally, not physically. Just an awful lot to worry about right now.

Here’s how I keep my mind off the bad stuff when I need to:

William as Elwood
I make photos like this… The day I taught my son about the Blues and the Brothers.

Now some food-based fun. Lunch at Schilo’s Deli on Halloween Day:

Hungry Traveler
The Hungry Traveler
I love guessing correctly… I just set the camera down on the table, eyeballed the angle, and guessed on the distance. Tack sharp, baby, lol.

Harman BBQ

The weekend wasn’t all bad. Venda and I took the boy with us to see her family on the ranch in San Patricio.

And in closing…

Emily
Meet my new assistant, Emily. She’s sharp, and she listens. I can’t ask for more than that. Everyone say hi to Emily.
