Lorem Ipsum, Yo…

I don’t really have anything much to say this post, hence the title. I would like to share a few more photos from Christmas Day, though. Enjoy…

The Pasture
[Leica M6; Voigtländer Nokton 50/1.5 ASPH]

I screwed the exposure on this one pretty good. I forgot to set my ISO on the Leica, so this shot came out two stops under. In addition, it was shot on out-of-date Sensia, which I had to push process to compensate for my newb mistake, so screw hoping for any shadow detail whatsoever. So, I decided to get “artistic” on its ass. Grayscale conversion plus some creative burning and contrast. I think it works as long as I act like I meant to do this.

Look Outside

I’ve decided that I hate my scanner for slides. Shadow detail is poor, even on good exposures, but if you have some frames that are a little dark, then you might as well forget it. Running a drum scanner for all those years really got me spoiled. This frame scanned the best of all of them.

Hay in the Wind
[Leica M6; Voigtländer Nokton 50/1.5 ASPH]

Venda and her mom in the horse barn. The kids had surprised Jenniffer by cleaning up all the hay on the floor, and then a strong wind came through as they fed the horses, putting it all back on the floor.
